The Fortnightly Saturday sale of Cull cows, stores and store lambs saw a good trade, the sale kindly sponsored by Park View Stores / Fred Greenwood & Sons

The sale commenced with Cull Cows, the overall average being £692.12 and £108 ppkg, Top price being £1031.80 (134ppkg) from Rodney Brothers Plant LTD, Healey, which was purchased by N Bramall, Oxspring Other Chief prices being from JW & J Paxton, Golsborough £1004.30, £927.20, JP Broadwith, Burnt Yates £930, £900.60

There was a Cull Bull from Riva Hill Farms which made £840 (100ppkg) purchased by N Bramall, Oxspring

The overall ave for stores been £853.

Steers Ave £860.59 Top price BB 16mths from A Newbould & Son, Dallowgill making £1100 purchased by CD & RF Kitching, Threshfield other chief prices being from D Clarke, Hampsthwaite, £1090, £1010, D Milburn, Darley, £1085, PS Brotherton, Kettlesing, £1040, £970, £970, J & C Swales, Ripley £885

Heifer Ave £894.79 Top price BB 24 Mths from G Abbott & Sons, Heyshaw making £1110 being purchased by Ryton Beef, Ryton Other chief prices being A Newbould & Son, Dallowgill, £1080, £1000, G Abbott & Sons, Heyshaw, £1070, £1035, C Swires & Son, Bewerley £1040, JP Broadwith, Burnt Yates £1035, J Weatherhead & Son, Galphay, £1030, £1010, JAS Church, Lofthouse £1020.
